Claude Virgin
American born photographer Claude Virgin came to Britain in 1957 where he fully embraced British culture and style. He was a formative influence on several photographers, not least Helmut Newton, who wrote in his memoirs: 'His photographs were sexy and different from anything seen before in England.'
Virgin was Vogue's most in-demand photographer at the time and captured beautifully the sophisticated elegance of the late fifties and early sixties. This truly stylish collection of prints has enduring appeal and is a great gift for fashionistas or lovers of classic photography.
